Correction To Fish Tax

.start I want to correct the statement that 5.3 million dollars were generated from the fish tax in FY17, to 4.6 million dollars. My website designer is out of town now, and at the risk of totally messing up the entire site, I am adding this post as the correction. The budget amount was 5.3, the actual was closer to 4.6. That being said, I still want to point out that a significant amount of revenue of which the City depends is generated from a sometimes unpredictable natural resource, as evident by the FY17 numbers. In addition to harvest value of seafood that comes to our docks, it has a ripple affect on all the transportation and support services. It is imperative that Council has a member who has a working knowledge of the seafood industry and the impact it has in our daily lives. .end
